Lydia Maurer launched Phylyda in 2016 to create a fashion-focused antidote to the pain points she often heard women expressing about their swimsuits. Having worked at Yves Saint Laurent, Rue du Mail, Givenchy, and most recently Paco Rabanne where she served as Creative Director, Maurer pairs her strong understanding of luxury tailoring and design with a sensitivity toward women’s real needs. Schooled at Studio Berçot in Paris, currently based in Berlin, and always drawing upon her global upbringing immersed in the lush hues and culturally-rich landscapes of Mexico and Colombia, Maurer captures the vibrant spirit of today’s modern woman through Phylyda’s effortless, sensual, and nuanced collection of swimwear separates.
